The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want bible inspirational speech/sermon

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1

Life can sometimes feel uncertain. We may face worries about the future, difficult decisions, disappointments, or moments when we simply do not know which direction to take. In such moments, Psalm 23:1 gives us a beautiful reminder: we are not walking through life alone.

When David says, “The Lord is my shepherd,” he describes God as a loving Shepherd who guides, protects, and cares for His people. A shepherd does not abandon the sheep when the path becomes difficult. In the same way, God remains with us through both peaceful seasons and challenging times.

The words “I shall not want” do not mean that we will receive everything we desire. Rather, they remind us that with God, we can trust that He knows what we truly need. Even when we cannot see what lies ahead, we can place our faith in His wisdom and timing.

Perhaps today you are facing a situation that seems too difficult. Do not lose hope. You may not understand why everything is happening, but you can still trust the One who sees the whole journey. When you feel weak, ask God for strength. When you feel confused, ask Him for guidance. When you feel afraid, remember that His presence is greater than your fears.

Let Psalm 23:1 become a source of encouragement for your heart: God is your Shepherd. He knows your path, cares about your journey, and will never stop leading you.

So walk forward with faith. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can trust the One who holds tomorrow. With the Lord as your Shepherd, you can face each new day with peace, courage, and hope.
